Once a month we nominee so-called Superheroes of our community. Superheroes are the ones that have been recognized among their colleagues due to their actions and attitudes towards our community values be curious, have courage and win together ! And what’s the best (or worst depending on where you look at) is, that each month we have multiple nominees and kind words said about our dear colleagues, but only one can earn the honour of being the Superhero of the month!
Besides Monthly Superheros, a couple of times a year we recognize the ones that have gotten the most nominees in the past and these individuals receive the special prize and a Super-Superhero title with a diploma! Let’s take a leap backwards and introduce our first ever Super-Superheros of Schibsted Suomi: Linda, Ruth and Heidi!
Let’s meet Linda – Our Senior Marketing Analyst for Oikotie!
Your favourite value at Schibsted Finland and why?
Honestly, I like them all equally. Because it’s not about just one of them, it’s the whole combination: being curious and courageous together which makes us to win!
Your special trick or superpower that makes you thrive in the work you do?
I guess it’s my heart. I’m a very passionate and caring person. I believe that in work one has to use the brain, but also the heart. Use the soft means to achieve the hard goals.
How would you describe our working culture & community?
It’s delightfully modern and agile in many ways. I love the “can-do” attitude among us that makes things really happen. Also, the possibility to work remotely within flexible working hours is something that I value very high.
What’s best working at Schibsted?
The work itself, the people that I get to work with and all the wonderful opportunities to do things that really make an impact.

Definitely win together, when you explain what Win Together is all about, it talks about the importance of being kind and trusting in good intentions, this is really closely aligned to some of my most cherished personal values!
Your special trick or superpower that makes you thrive in the work you do?
I think my major superpowers is having a good idea how important mindset is, like one of my most impactful ones recently is to remember to ‘let go of the things you can’t control’, I say this to myself frequently when dealing with fast changing environments, situations or expectations. I think it really takes the pressure of yourself, like a weight has been lifted and allows you to carry on in a happy way.
How would you describe our working culture & community?
I would describe the culture at Schibsted Suomi as unreal. Having worked here nearly 1 year, it is still sometimes unbelievable to me how amazing the culture is, I feel really grateful to work in this community!
What’s best working at Schibsted?
I have to say that for me, the best thing is the culture and the team I get to work with. You have hit the jackpot when you get to come to work in a safe and open space, where we support each other and prioritise people and learning.

My favourite value is to win together. Everyone can concentrate to give their best and together we complement each other. The best results rise from different backgrounds and it is just sweeter to accomplish things together.
Your special trick or superpower that makes you thrive in the work you do?
My superpower is to listen to my team and keep customer operations organized as well as develop and improve customer service at Schibsted Finland.
How would you describe our working culture & community?
I appreciate working at Schibsted as I can grow with challenges. I appreciate our team where I am continuously encouraged to work as a team and we always have each other’s back. The days can be busy at the customer front but with our professionality, attitude and humour we solve the issues and bring out the best in every day.

The great colleagues and the location of the office are the best things about working at Schibsted.
What’s common with all of our Superheroes then?
All in all, these Super-Superheroes of our community were described as “Skillful professionals. Friendly colleagues. Individuals who hold strong can-do attitude and are always supportive and helpful towards others, not forgetting the amazing personality and a sense of humor they share around.” Great Great Collagues – all of them!
